Judit Gervain obtained her MA degrees in English Language and Litareture (2002), French Language and Literature (2002) and Theoretical Linguistics (2003) at the University of Szeged. She conducted her doctoral work at the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA), Trieste, Italy, and obtained her PhD in 2007 under the supervision of Jacques Mehler. Between 2007 and 2009, she worked as a post doctoral researcher at the Department of Psychology of the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Since 2009, she is a CNRS researcher at the Laboratoire Psychologie de la Perception.

-early mechanisms of the acquisition of word order in a cross-linguistic perspective

-early mechanisms of the acquisition of morphosyntax in a cross-linguistic perspective

-the role of prosody in early language acquisition

-the role of function words in early language acquisition
