Işik Murat, Ph.D. (2023) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Altaic Studies at the University of Szeged. He teaches several core courses in the linguistic field of Turkology, including Introduction to Turkology, Comparative Phonology and Morphology of Turkic Languages, Middle Turkic Text Analysis, and Descriptive Grammar of Turkish. His research focuses on the endangered Turkic language Karaim.
